I didnt ever really think about it like that. So far all I have seen is single farmers trying to take on monsanto and getting schooled. I hope your right though and that really is what ends up happening. If their patent on pigs is approved i would like to think that that event would spark some kind of farmer revolt
You wouldn’t have individual farmers sue them, you would have an organization of farmers sue them. For example NSW farmers assoc.
Alternatively, there are class action lawsuits.
You can bet that if it becomes a big enough problem, that’s exactly what will happen
@rogueswordthesco. Yea you can sue them back and enter a drawn out, long, EXPENSIVE legal battle which you will probably end up losing. Either that or you will settle out of court. Farmers simply cannot afford to enter into a legal battle with a billion dollar company, especially when the judges pockets are lined with Monsanto cash. Its disheartening but farmers rarely have a choice
if a corporation controls global food supply and I do not agree with this, I can NOT go to another globe. Those Monsanto people are scientists or bunch of uneducated teenagers? Shame on us!

Well, I watched all parts to this, and I’m speechless once again. Monsanto’s tentacles keep reaching farther and farther. And Forbes just named Monsanto ‘company of the year’…lovely.
About your sidebar…technically they can label it Organic Soy Milk when it is round up ready soy beans, the GMO soy bean. Just something to keep in mind, 90%+ soy beans grown in america are round up ready GMO beans.

NO corporate entity has the right to hold patent on any natural substance, period! Monsanto has stuffed the pockets of patent officials with cold, hard cash, no doubt about that. I’m sure a few judges received new cars, or stuffed envelopes of cash as well. This is CRIMINAL, and warrants an informed public to become angry, and demand an end to this wicked practice.

Monsanto is the perfect example of just how many Politicians have sold their soul for power & greed. Monsanto is what happens when we allow the most powerful public held positions of office, to switch back & forth between the private sector and people who actually make the law! Insanity at its finest, or should I say corruption. But instead of people taking to the street in complete outrage for Monsanto knowingly poisoning their children/families, all we hear is a collective yawn.
My question is why anyone votes Democrat or Republican? America is slowly dying from this corrupt two-party system, one that has made it nearly impossible for any other party to run for office. Democrat, Republican, it does NOT matter, both are on-in-the same.
Ron Paul should have been America’s wake-up call to just how corrupt the two party system is & how, even if you are from either party, that if your views do not fall in line with the status quo, you are black listed from TV debates.
One thing I don’t understand – most of the American farmers live in the mid west and southern states. Republicans favor huge companies like Monsanto then why do these people vote Republican !!
